After more than thirty years on Troon’s Church Street, the Ayrshire-based group is moving to a prominent location on Portland Street which will more than double the practice’s capacity for both eye examinations and dispensing. As well as a complete, fresh refit and the installation of the latest eyecare technology, Urquhart Opticians new Troon practice will now also stock a significantly wider range of frames from designers including Tiffany, Tom Ford and Oakley.
The move to Portland Street is part of a major £100,000+ investment by Urquhart Opticians which has also seen the recent refurbishment of the group’s Prestwick and Glasgow practices. It follows the rebranding and major remodelling of the independently owned group’s Kilmarnock practice in 2015/6.
The Troon move was completed on Monday 27 February, with the practice team now offering Urquhart’s full eyecare service from the new premises. Optometrist Fiona Black said: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming patients and clients - existing and new - to Portland Street. By more than doubling in size, we are now perfectly placed to meet the growing needs of our patients with more room for eye examinations and new technology, whilst offering a significantly enhanced dispensing area stocking a broader range of frames from both well established and exciting new designers.”
