Why did you get into Optics?
I had been working in Travel for almost 30 years and wanted a change but still wanted to work with the public.
How long have you been with Urquhart Opticians and what do you enjoy most about your job?
I've worked in optics for about 9 years and I love meeting different people.
What is your favourite brand of eyewear and why?
Face a Face Paris, I've just picked my new Face a Face frame! I love the style of them.
What is your most memorable patient experience?
Lots of happy memories, no one instance in particular. I just enjoy seeing patients leave happy.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with my family, walking and lots of holidays!
Where is your favourite holiday destination?
I love everywhere I go on holiday but Playa Car in Mexico has to be my number 1.
What is your favourite movie or book?
I'm more of a drama or soap watcher but I do like movies like The Greatest Showman. Takes me months to read a book - I prefer to talk!

One interesting fact about yourself?
During lockdown myself, husband and daughter volunteered for our local council and helped deliver food boxes and prescriptions in the 3 towns. We met lots of lovely & grateful people. It meant during the time we were furloughed we could give something back to our community (and didn't have to be stuck in the house!).
