We're delighted to have won Social Media Practice of the Year at the Optician Awards this year, for the second time. Last year, after several rearrangements, the whole team watched a live stream of the awards and celebrated winning Social Media Practice of the Year over zoom. This was the first year this category had been added to the awards and we were thrilled to be chosen. Social media has always been an important part of out marketing strategy but it became even more important during lockdown and throughout the Covid-19 pandemic - it proved to be a crucial way of communicating with our patients and community.
When we were shortlisted this year, we were hopeful but hesitate. We were lucky enough to get the chance to attend the awards in person and travelled to London where the ceremony was held at The Ballroom at Grosvenor House. It was a wonderful evening meeting new people and seeing old friends in the industry. When the time came, we were over the moon to be awarded with Social Media Practice of the Year for the second time. We truly appreciate the importance of having as many ways of communicating with our patients as possible, and we couldn't do what we do without their support.
