At Urquharts we believe in the importance of Community. Community to us means a shared responsibility to the towns and villages we live and work in. It's crucial for us to be an active part of our communities across Ayrshire. The more everyone puts in to the community the more everyone gets out of it. It also means people in need can be helped in lots of different ways.
We take any opportunity we can to support local events in conjunction with Ayrshire charities. This year we are delighted to be sponsoring the annual Ayrshire Hospice 'Let's Go Girls' Lunch for the 3rd time. We are also part of the Ayrshire magazine Fashion Show in April and are the main sponsor for their Ayrshire Does Strictly event again this year - both to raise funds for Kilmarnock Community Sports Trust.
Our Optometrists also go out in the community whenever possible to talk to local groups and schools about Optometry and the importance of Eyecare. Alistair recently attended both Symington Women's Institute and the Darvel Guild, and Lesley will be taking part in the Marr College annual career's event next month.
