Alistair is Dad to Murray and Fearne. He is an avid Kilmarnock football fan and loves fast cars.
Amy Urquharts in 2021 and works in our Kilmarnock practices. Amy is currently undertaking her Independent Prescriber qualification and enjoys hillwalking.
Angie joined the team in 2022 and brings many years of experience & knowledge to our patients in Kilmarnock. Outside of work Angie loves spending time with her daughter.

Gabriella currently works at our practice in Kilmarnock every Saturday. She is studying to be an Optometrist at Glasgow Caledonian University and is currently in her fourth year.
Heather looks after frame buying for all our practices, she selects exclusive brands and unique frames for our communities in Ayrshire and Dumfries & Galloway. In her free time Heather loves being with her family.
James joined our team in 2022 and looks after patients at Kilwinning, Saltcoats & West Kilbride. He is a registered Diabetic Screener and enjoys spending time with his family.
Janis has worked in optics for over twenty years. She loves staying active and has walked the West Highland Way.
Lesley loves to stay active and has cycled from London to Paris. She follows Kilmarnock Football Club and likes to travel.
Pamela has worked at Urquharts for 7 years and is now our Regional Manager, she oversees the day to day running of the practices. Pamela and her daughter Ellie love spending time outdoors on their bikes or hiking, and her favourite place is Barcelona.
Sandra has been at Urquharts for 15 years, she loves travelling to new places and her favourite movie is Dracula.
We are based at 14 Portland Road, Kilmarnock. The practice is easily accessible from the one way system (A735) and is just beyond the Sheriff Court on your left hand side. If you are travelling from Troon/Syminton/Gatehead then travel along Dundonald Road and take a left at the traffic lights where before you head up John Finnie Street. The practice is a white building with external signage and is directly across from Boots the Pharmacy. The practice is walking distance from the town centre and is around a 3 minute walk from King Street.
There is on street parking directly outside the practice. This parking is chargeable at £X with no return within the hour. There is normally spaces available on either side of the street. If you wish to park for longer, there is car park on Portland Road just beyond Portland Surgery. This parking is chargeable at £X with no return within X hours.
Yes, absolutely. While there are two small steps into the practice we have a temporary ramp that can be used to ensure access. Please notify the Kilmarnock practice in advance and we will ensure that the ramp is available and ready for your arrival. Once in the practice, all of our test rooms are on the ground floor. Please note that our Hearing Clinic is upstairs, although arrangements can be made for an appointment downstairs in one of our consultation rooms if required.
Unfortunately not. We have no accessible toilet for use by any clients.
