Our Lens Partner Shamir Joins Forces with F1 Alpine Team

Exciting news in practice recently as Shamir Ltd, our premium lens supplier have just become Optical Performance Partner for Formula 1's Alpine team (the newly rebranded Renault team). They will be providing the Alpine team with ophthalmic assessments, safety equipment and lenses.

The Alpine 2021 driver line up consists of Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon, and Shamir aims to improve visual quality and the safety of race team members. Shamir will be providing the helmet shields for the pit team to improve glare, colour contrast and anti-fog.

This work will be completed in Formula 1's first ever Vision Performance Lab. The Shamir team add 'The challenges and extreme condition of F1 will drive us toward developing better vision solutions.'
